Valley Legacy Awards

You know them.  You work with them.  They are dedicated to making the Mahoning Valley a better place to live.  They volunteer their time.  They started programs that have improved people’s lives, the arts, the economy, and so much more.  They are advocates for the elderly and speak for them when they cannot.

They believe legacies are meant to be lived, not just left!

Do you know a deserving senior or advocate?
Then
you need to nominate them for...

The Sixth Annual

On October 14, 2010, the Sixth Annual Valley Legacy Awards will be presented in two categories – Outstanding Senior and Outstanding Advocate for Seniors, with all nominees recognized for their good works.

We are seeking people who should be recognized for a lifetime of working to improve the Mahoning Valley or who have provided exceptional support of older Americans through their professional, volunteer, or civic roles. To be considered, nominees must have left a lasting legacy for our community and inspired others through their work ethic, concern for others, and enthusiasm for the betterment of our community.

Return a completed nomination form  to Valley Legacy Awards, c/o Shepherd of the Valley, 5525 Silica Road, Austintown, OH 44515.  You may nominate more than one nominee and remember that the judges will only know what you tell them about your nominee.  Please talk to your nominee and gather as much information as you can.  Nominations must be postmarked by Friday, July 30.

If you have any questions, please contact Lynn Miller (lmiller@ShepherdOfTheValley.com or 330-530-4038, ext. 2057).

Sponsorships Sought for 2010 Valley Legacy Awards

Plans for the 6th Annual Valley Legacy Awards are underway.  The luncheon will be held at noon, Thursday, October 14, at Mr. Anthony's Banquet Center.  The Valley Legacy awards honor outstanding seniors and those who advocate for them.  More than 100 people have been nominated since the inception of the award on 2005 with more than 25 recipients.

The Valley Legacy Awards Committee recently issued invitations to sponsor the 2010 Valley Legacy Awards to the Mahoning Valley community.  Sponsorships cover the costs of the event and can be monetary or in-kind.  Opportunities to underwrite specific needs and portions of the event are also  available. New sponsors are always welcome - simply print the Sponsor Form and mail it in.  The four sponsorship levels are detailed below.  Additional underwriting and program advertising options are listed on the sponsor form.  For more information on sponsoring the Valley Legacy Awards, contact Lynn Miller, Shepherd of the  Valley, 330-530-4038, x 2057, or via email at lmiller@ShepherdoftheValley.com.
